Neste
Scene 1: Adele’s video starts and Ellen’s telephone rings
Ellen: Hello!
Adele: Hello, it’s me!
Ellen: Oh, hey Adele, what’s
going on with you?
Adele: I was wondering if
after all these years you’d like to meet
Ellen: Sorry, the connection
is bad. Did you say you are eating beats?
Adele: To go over,
everything (Ellen’s eating potato chips)
Ellen: I’m sorry, I was
eating chips, what did u say?
Adele: Hello!
Ellen: Still didn’t get it.
Go on!
Adele: Can you hear me?
Ellen: Yes, can you hear me?
Adele: Hello!
Ellen: Hello! I’m still
here! Speed it up. I’m in a hurry! You’re talking so slowly
Adele: I’m in California
dreaming about who we used be.
Ellen: Okay, so you are in
California, and what?
Adele: When we were younger
and free…
Ellen: I could hear you better if you stop
playing on that piano.
Adele:
I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our
feet
Ellen: Seriously, speed it up. I’m in kind of a hurry! Just get in the
point.
Adele: There’s such a difference…
Ellen: Hold on, hold on, I have another call…
Hello!
Drake: You used to call me on the cell phone…
Ellen: Oh, Drake. Hi, Hi! I’ve been so busy with the
other call, can you hold on?
I gotta get back to the
other call, it’s Adele. So slowly, I call you back in a minute. Hello, Adele?
Adele? Drake?
Ellen takes her potato chips back and the
telephone rings again.
Ellen: Hello!
Lionel: Hello!
Ellen: Hi, Lionel!
Lionel: Is it me you’re looking for?
Ellen: No, I’m not looking for you! Seriously, I can’t talk.
